How to spoil your mum in western Sydney this Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday May 8 – are you ready to spoil your mum?

While you can spoil her any day of the year, this Mother’s Day is an excellent opportunity to show how she is loved and spend a day putting a smile on her face.

If you’re looking to treat your mum to something special this year, here’s how you can do it in western Sydney.

Head to brunch

Forget breakfast in bed and the inevitable messiness. Treat your mum to a delicious brunch in western Sydney, where she can relax over a perfectly cooked eggs benedict with her hot drink of choice.

She won’t have to get up early for breakfast, but she can take all morning to sit back and enjoy the meal and your company.

The Usual Café in Cabramatta is a gorgeous pick with great coffee.

Take her for a cruise in a classic car

What better way to spend a Sunday with mum than exploring Sydney – or even heading up to the Blue Mountains for the day – with a beautiful old classic car.

You can pick up a classic car rental from Vintage & Classic Car Hire in Kings Park and take her for a spin for the day. This small rental company has luxurious soft-top Mustangs, elegant MGBs, and sassy Corvettes. Each one even has its name!

Pack a picnic to enjoy in a scenic location before heading back to the city.

Get creative at a Paint and Sip

Paint and sip events are where you go to an art studio and enjoy snacks, drinks, and painting with an instructor. It can be an enjoyable event, and the best part is that you get to walk away with a unique piece of art to keep as a souvenir.

Pinot and Picasso are hosting a special Mother’s Day event in Penrith this year, where you can go along and paint a ‘mumdala’ together! You don’t need to be crafty or talented, just keen for a fun time and unforgettable memories.

Note that this event is BYO, so don’t forget to pick up her favourite vino and a few snacks to enjoy while you paint.

Treat her to dinner at Alma’s Kitchen

Alma’s Kitchen is a vibrant Middle Eastern restaurant in Wetherill Park. Here you’ll find flavourful Mezze dishes and meals, including some favourites you’ll already likely know, and new dishes you’ll thoroughly enjoy discovering (such as Arak!).

We recommend letting our chefs put something together with our ‘Leave it to Alma’s package for two people, starting with several Mezze dishes before trying something scrumptious from the a la carte menu. (bookings for 6 or more – set menu only)

Be sure to book your table at Alma’s Kitchen today to secure your spot, and let us know if there’s anything we can do to make her Mother’s Day extra special!
